About Lancashire Dyslexia Specialists

Fulfilling potential is the key!

Welcome to my world of dedicated support for neurodiverse individuals! Let me introduce myself!

As a parent of neurodiverse children, I empathise deeply with the tiring and frustrating journey to address the challenges the world presents to neurodiverse individuals, therefore, my personal experiences fuel my commitment to making a difference.

Assessing

With a passion for understanding unique learning profiles, I bring expertise in assessing dyslexia, specialising in assessing individuals from secondary school (year nine) and beyond. This includes individuals in college, university or the workplace. My reports are also suitable for Access to Work and Disable Students' Allowances purposes. My goal is to identify strengths, challenges, and tailor interventions to empower learners.

Tutoring

With 18 years of tutoring experience (maths, English and Special Educational Needs), I have witnessed the transformative power of personalised support. I believe in nurturing confidence and resilience in every learner. I currently offer individualised study skills support to higher education (HE) students in receipt of Disabled Students Allowance and strategies for individuals in the workplace that have Access to Work support. Whether it’s time management, note-taking, reading/writing critically, utilising assistive technology or exam strategies, I'm here to guide you.

At Lancashire Dyslexia Specialists, I'm not just an assessor and a tutor; I'm an advocate for inclusive education.

Let’s unlock potential together!
